I’ve been using Kimi K3 on and off for the past week and I really love its dialogue and prose. The main issue is that it doesn’t respect my writing style guide that I provide in my prompt. 过去一周我断断续续地使用了 Kimi K3，我真的很喜欢它的对话和文笔。主要问题是它不遵守我在提示中提供的写作风格指南。
I’m using a custom prompt that I’ve been refining for a while now and it works very well with most models. I instruct the bot to roleplay in third person objective viewpoint, which means that it should only describe things that are objectively in the scene such as sights, sounds, smells, etc. I prefer not to have any sort of internal monologue or character thoughts. My prompt explicitly states this but Kimi regularly ignores this instruction and will write what the character is thinking or feeling. Try having the instruction of how you want it to type at a low depth, maybe even zero. The longer the context, the more the instruction following can drift. 尝试将你希望它如何输入的指令设置为较低的深度，甚至设为零。上下文越长，指令遵循就越容易出现偏差。

Kimi was always better with short and clear instructions. And K3 is not different, it will work with a COT of course but the shorter is your instructions the better the output will be and with no overthinking. Use strong words and direct it without ambiguity, be very explicit about what you want, that mf is not GLM or Claude, he like to be treated like a damn little soldier. With those changes, Kimi K3 is now following my instructions much better.
